My Students

Our NYC public school serves a wide range of students in grades K-5. We offer students rigorous academics, have dedicated teachers and a safe learning environment. Our students are enthusiastic learners with wide-ranging interests and abilities that come from many different backgrounds.

My goal is to provide students with a variety of learning opportunities that meet their diverse needs and lead to academic success.

The first graders in my class are eager to be challenged every day and my challenge is to accomplish that by providing the environment, resources, and materials that will give them the support they need to realize their potential.

My Project

My first graders are returning to a hybrid classroom in a very critical year of their learning to read. They come with an enthusiasm for reading and learning. Reading is a skill that takes practice, however due to risks in light of COVID, my students will not be able share books. These first grade leveled books will enable me to give my students books of their own to practice with, both in school and during remote learning at home.

The iPad will enable me to record videos of lessons for those days students will be learning remotely.
