My Students

My students have been truly amazing as we embark on this new learning adventure. It must be so difficult for students, especially six year olds, to wear a mask all day, stay in their seats for most of the six hours that they are in school, or when learning remotely, trying to stay engaged as they stare at a computer screen all day. My students have been super stars as they take on these new challenges. They are strong, resilient, and very willing to learn!

My Project

A subscription for Time Magazine for Kids will help my first graders broaden their knowledge of current events and other non-fiction topics. It will also be another resource that they can use at home to practice reading. In the past, my classes have looked forward to receiving the magazines. The excitement that the students showed as they pulled the magazine from their mailboxes each month demonstrated how much they appreciated it. I want to continue giving them this magazine as they learn from home. I can also do lessons with them using the magazine.
