My Project

Nearpod is a website and app-based digital tool that I use to create interactive slides that my students can engage with during the lesson.

Nearpod helps to keep my students motivated and focused and appeals to their digital brain.

Some of the features that my students love are the collaboration boards, student polls, drag and drop activities, and VR experiences. I particularly like the annotation tools for modeling as well as the collaboration board. The collaboration board and open-ended question polls help me to gauge my students thinking immediately and adjust my lessons to meet their needs. Plus, I love to see the look on their faces when it’s their time to engage and share their voice.

Lastly, Nearpod allows me to differentiate my Iessons to support my student’s various levels of learning. I can also post the slides to Google Classroom so students can use them to review the day’s lesson and absent students can have access to missed material.

Nearpod increases my student’s engagement exponentially. More engagement means more learning!
