Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are learning how to become amazing writers, "story tellers". I would like for my students to be able to create their own books that they can share with others. The joy of sharing and displaying their finished work brings joy and pride to their little hearts.

Creative, Imaginative Story Tellers is within all of them.

I would just like the opportunity to be able to print and publish all of their amazing work.

My goal is to provide my students with a book related stuffed animal that they can take home for a week. They write with their family what great adventures they had while having the stuffed animal, for example, "Pete the Cat". Then, when their week is over, they bring back the stuffed animal and their written work. "Pete the Cat" then goes off with another family and so forth. Once the stories are completed, I would like to make a book of their adventures with "Pete the Cat" and be able to publish it and share it with all the families. In order to accomplish this goal, I would need a lot of paper, and a lot more ink. Sharing our stories and adventures with the school and our families would be amazing.
