This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of the biggest challenges when working with students with developmental delays and autism is getting them to learn how to cooperate, use their words, take turns and play with others fairly. Funny enough is many of our students absolutely love trains.

So if we were to have a train table that we could play around together, we could practice playing cooperatively and we could practice sharing.

We have a water table which is very small but we love to play around it together. A train table would allow us to explore subjects like travel, communities, everyday life and families.
