My Students

I am a Special Education Teacher. I am working with students with disabilities in a classroom of 12 students. My students are very smart, loving and helpful. The majority of the students are boys and some are autistic. Some of my students love math and they love counting numbers. Other students love literature and love to read books. I am very happy teaching this class and everyday is a learning experience.

The neighborhood is a poor community in the South Bronx.

The school lacks many resources. As a teacher, I feel bad that my students don't have and lack all the resources needs in order to become the best learners/students in the classroom. I have high expectations for my student and I want all of them to learn.

My Project

My students need crayons and markers because they love art. I teach my student thru art projects like a math tree by counting all the apples. Using the construction paper, the children can draw their families when learning about communities in social studies.

My students also need pencils in order to write words and sentences.

My students are learning how to read by writing sight words. The bulletin board paper will help me create and display all the children work. With all the resources the students will have the proper materials and will learn so much in the academic year.
