This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us become the greatest group of mathematicians that our school has ever seen! With these resources we can learn better than ever before!

My students are in grades 6-8 at a Middle/High School in the South Bronx area of New York City.

Our school aims to provide them with the best possible education, but with budget cuts we are unable to provide them with as much as in the past. Your donation will help the students try to reach their potential and become advanced mathematicians.

My Project

Help us learn! My Special Education students learn in many different ways. Being able to use pictures, audio clips, and videos will help them understand math in a way that they cannot just through textbooks and worksheets alone. Also seeing people solve the same problem in different ways will also help them find out the best way for them to find the solutions to mathematic problems.

I personally don't have a class set of textbooks, so being able to use videos will really help these kids out.

Instead of black-and-white photocopies they can see math in a more exciting way, which will hopefully get them more interested in the curriculum. I really think that using multiple means of representation will be very beneficial for them. Please help!
