Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I would like to incorporate interactive notebooks to create a more engaging and rigorous classroom. The stationary supplies (pencils, highlighters, and tape) and notebooks will inspire students to interact with our biology lessons while keeping the world of wonder alive!

I hope to create science journals that will help guide my scientists in the realm of biology and create a welcoming space to learn and explore.

With the pencils and highlighters, I can assure students are equipped with the right tools necessary to succeed. This will also help students personalize their learning and creating a more colorful way of learning. The tape will support in pasting future handouts, labs, or activities that can be secured within their notebooks.

The notebooks play a crucial role in ensuring students are well-prepared and organized throughout our year filled with exciting and engaging biology phenomenons. Interactive notebooks encourage students to actively engage with the material by organizing and processing information creatively. This hands-on approach helps reinforce learning and retention. Additionally, interactive notebooks helps students develop communication skills. They learn to convey information clearly and effectively, both visually and in writing. Over time, interactive notebooks become a comprehensive record of a student's learning journey. They can look back at their progress and see how their understanding has evolved.
