My Students

My students are resilient. They come from a large, urban community. My students bring a wonderful blend of different cultures, languages, and experiences to our little school. We are a Title I school in a low-income community; I have twenty-five students in my classroom. Students receive a free breakfast and free lunch every day.

My students are inquisitive, imaginative, and resilient.

They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success as we move into distance remote learning this year. My students will be learning at home for at least the first part of the year due to the COVID-19 virus. This presents a challenge, as most of my students do not have access to supplies or resources in their homes.

My Project

Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are not able to leave their homes due to the quarantine in Los Angeles. My students need Growth Mindset Journals and conversation starters to discuss their feelings during these uncertain times. I will send the journals to my students' homes to use as a way to write about their feelings. I will use the conversation starter prompt cards during zoom meetings with my students.

My students need a Growth Mindset Journals and conversation starter cards that will be used during virtual class meetings.

These resources will help my students to adjust to distance learning and make learning exciting.
