My Students

My students are resilient. They come from a large, urban community. My students bring a wonderful blend of different cultures, languages, and experiences to our little school. We are a Title I school in a low-income community; I have twenty-five students in my classroom. Students receive a free breakfast and free lunch every day.

My students are inquisitive, imaginative, and resilient.

They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success as we move into distance remote learning this year. My students will be learning at home for at least the first part of the year due to the COVID-19 virus. This presents a challenge, as most of my students do not have access to supplies or resources in their homes.

My Project

Please help me give my students basic learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are not able to leave their homes due to the quarantine in Los Angeles. My students need their own personal cursive writing books that they can use during distance learning. They also need math journals to practice daily math prompts. They will use the glue sticks to paste prompts into their math journals.
