This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have the great opportunity to teach in a neighborhood of Washington, DC, children of 3 & 4 years old who come to learn in a Spanish Immersion Program.

Help me give my students a carpet where everyone has there own personal space to sit during learning time.

The carpet will provide a comfortable area for students to sit and engage in different learning activities throughout the day. This carpet will help students stay focused on the academic content while on the carpet, instead of worrying about where their bodies should be on the carpet. The carpet will be essential for our classroom because we meet on the carpet for lessons every day.

My students would love to have a spot on the carpet during our lessons and it will make them feel included for everyone to have a spot. This will help them have their own area and be able to focus and engage more.
