Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third grade class is largely made up of ELL students still surviving and navigating a global pandemic. These supplies and materials will help create a welcoming and individualized environment for my students so that they can learn in an environment that works for them!

My Project

We use whiteboards in math daily and the whiteboards included in this project will help with standard 3.MD.C.7. We also use book regularly not only to read, but to deepen our understanding of other reading standards like RL3.1, RL.3.2, RL.3.3, RL3.6, and RL3.10. Flexible seating also helps to create a comfortable learning environment so that students get an education that fits their learning style. Due to Covid-19, students have lots of academic gaps, but the social-emotional gaps are large as well. These brain break materials help with both the academic and social-emotional needs for students.
