Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second graders are full of energy and ready to learn every day. Giving them a specific place to sit when it's time for the mini lesson and turn and talk is essential so they can focus and have a smooth transition to independent work.

Having a carpet with specific spots assigned to each of my students will help them to learn and participate in an orderly manner.

Every day my students will participate listening, and giving their opinions from their spots assigned to each of them. This way when they participate in the math, writing, and reading lessons they will know where to turn and talk without having to guess who they partner is.

My students will enjoy having an assigned spot which will not only will give them a sense of belonging, but also it will inspire them to participate all day long!
