My Students

I currently teach kindergarten students at a small town elementary school in South Carolina. My kindergarten kids come from a variety of different economic backgrounds, and despite their obstacles, come to school full of life and ready to learn! My students are bright, creative, and love to write stories. I want my busy workers to have enough materials to become the best writers and illustrators!

My Project

The materials I am requesting will allow my students to put their creative energy to work. We have a writing workstation in our classroom that we started this year. My students love to create stories and other writing projects. We have a limited number of resources for them to use in this station. I created this project to give them options for writing tools and how to create their writing pieces. They will have many different choices they can make with resources in this project. Clipboards will allow them to keep their work safe and choose different areas of the room to work at during that time. Writing and drawing tools will help my kindergarten kids grow to be the best writers and illustrators!

My Project

I am requesting writing and drawing materials for my kindergarten students. My students enjoy Writer' Workshop and daily write in their individual journals. With a Writing Workstation, they will be able to draw and write many more times throughout the day.

My kindergarten students need writing and drawing materials to create stories and illustrations.

The storage center will organize the writing paper, drawing paper and sentence strips. My students will use these materials to make books, write stories, and make messages for their classmates. The special punch shapes, scissors, drawing pencils, and sharpeners will all be used to help my students work creatively. My students will use these materials to aide them in the process of becoming lifelong writers and illustrators.
