My Students

Were you ever one of the students who couldn't learn by just listening and taking notes? Did you get frustrated in school because of this, but then thrive when you were able to do a hands-on activity? Those words describe perfectly my 5th and 6th graders. Help them be successful and enjoy school!

I have the sweetest bunch of 5th and 6th graders whom I teach Math and Science.

They love to learn new things, but like so many, they need kinesthetic ways of teaching in order to achieve their learning goals. We attend a small k-12 school that doesn't get as much funding as it needs. Please help us change that.

My Project

I have asked for three Math games including multiplication and fraction Bingo along with a fraction and decimals Math game. Also, I have requested a fingerprinting lab set for my students in Science. My students will love Math even more and actually be able to understand it better with the help of these games. Not only that, the Science will become "super cool" as they like to say when they actually get to do fingerprinting like the real crime scene investigators!

This project is important to me because I want to do anything and everything to help my students succeed.

Being a first year teacher with hardly any resources can make that hard sometimes. With your help, however, we will be able to take a step in the right direction and show these kids that education is not only important to them and their teacher, but also to others around the world.
