Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The dramatic play all in one kitchen piece will help my students during imaginative play experiences. Dramatic play teaches essential skills in self-regulation. Children use dramatic play to explore their thoughts and feelings. They teach our kids functional skills such as doing dishes, cleaning, cooking, and creating meaningful peer relationships.
Dramatic play teaches essential self-regulation and conflict-resolution skills and helps children learn creative problem-solving skills alongside their peers.
Exploring self-empowerment allows kids to make choices, act out their feelings, and find a new connection to themselves.
I have seen how dramatic play can positively affect my student's behavior and demeanor, as they gain more confidence in their skills, and I hope that adding this piece it will help us grow even more!
