My Project

The large area rug plays a vital role in our classroom and is at the heart of our daily morning meetings. These meetings are a time when students and I come together to foster a strong sense of belonging and connection, setting the tone for a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. Many of our most meaningful lessons and discussions take place during these meetings, as we gather to connect and engage with the world around us.

As we progress into the second semester, it’s clear that both our students and our classroom community have grown—literally and figuratively.

With many students sprouting up an inch or two and our group continuing to expand, our current rug no longer accommodates us comfortably. A larger rug would make a significant difference, allowing all students to participate fully and feel included. We would be incredibly grateful for this addition to our classroom, as it would support our continued growth, connection, and collaboration.
