My Classroom Calming Area

My Project

My class is an inclusion class, students are of different ages, with varying needs; social-emotional, some still learning to control their behavior and others general education.

A Calming Area will give great support to student when having "That Big Emotion"

The super safe tumbling mat will give protection to students during a meltdown, Flex-Space Premium Floor Seat and Flex-Space Wobble Cushion will give a comfortable sitting effect in the calming area and the Calming Cuddle Ball give student something to hold on to for calming down

Some of the students are still in the process of learning to self-regulation. With a calming area, children will be able to step away, self-soothe, re-group and then rejoin the class.

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
