Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, resilient, and above all courageous. Our school is located in a low income area of town. They lack many essential resources, but even with this they always try to be their best selves.

Despite the current circumstances and challenges we are facing they are always eager and enthusiastic about learning.

My Project

My students are amazing. They strive to be their best selves in any situation. In our classroom we have a place where they can go and reset if needed. It is a safe place where they know it is okay to feel any emotion they feel and they will still be loved. The current situation we are in has brought many fears and different emotions that has been difficult for them to understand.

Please help me give them a sense of security by providing them with a replica of our classroom calming corner tool box.

This will give them an opportunity to express how they feel and manage their emotions in a healthy manner while this time passes.
