Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in a Preschool Special Education class and are ready to learn and explore their environment. All of my student live in a low income community in the Los Angeles area. My student have different types of disabilities ranging from Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech and Language Impairment, and Intellectual Disability. All of my students are full of energy and eager to learn everyday. They always show up with the most positive attitude and are ready to learn!

My Project

The binding machine will help my students learn their numbers, colors and letters. I will help them by making them individual books to help them learn at home. They will be practicing recognizing letters, singing together the alphabet song with their families, and reviewing letter sounds. The binding machine will also help my students learn their numbers and colors because they will have their own books to review everyday.

Having letter books, color books, and number books, are very important to have at home because it helps children develop language, listening skill and stimulates their imagination.

The binding machine will help me make number books which will help my students count objects and recognize numbers. I will also make color books to help parents teach their child the colors at home.
