My Students

As a Speech and Language Pathologist, I get to work with many children from various backgrounds and with different levels of communication abilities. Speech and Language services supports students in their learning of reading, writing, listening and of course, speaking.

Speech and Language services help my students learn skills to strengthen their ability to communicate with their peers, teachers, families and other members of their community.

My students present with different communication abilities. During my sessions I work on a wide range of language skills and strategies that students need to be able to learn in their classrooms- listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing sentences and paragraphs, vocabulary development, and so much more!

The students who receive speech & language services benefit tremendously from the use of one simple tool.... BOOKS!

My Project

Must love books!

Books are one of the best ways for students to develop my students' comprehension skills.

These books will allow my students to practice their language skills using engaging stories. It’s also a way for me to teach about different cultures and experiences of people around the world. Students get lots of practice chatting with each other about the book, promoting social skills too!

With this wide array of books, my library will be accessible to all of the students that receive speech and language services. I can’t wait to develop their love of reading! Thanks for your support!!
