My students are hard workers and very eager to learn. They have entered the 4th grade this year with quite a few deficits in their math skills, which has caused the kids to have extremely low self confidence when it comes to their math abilities. I want to engage my learners by giving them opportunities to explore math manipulatives and games that are hands-on and enable opportunities for cooperative learning.
Having access to hands on materials will motivate students to try their best when learning difficult math concepts and will make a difficult subject more fun for them.
