Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach Pre K-5th grade music in a high poverty school with limited resources. The obstacles my students face are numerous; from limited English proficiency to not enough to eat. The one escape from this predicament is academia. Future doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc, reside within my classroom walls. What better way to reinforce science and second language skills than through music story books? The books for this project will be used in all grade levels, affecting over 600 students. My students need 1 copy of 15 book titles, from Going to the Zoo to Mole Music. I have the kids, you have the resources. Let's hook up and make a difference in the lives of these wonderful children!
