My Students

My First Graders are stars. They absolutely love to perform! Our school does not have a Theater program, so this would be a one-of-a-kind experience for my students. The next generation of Broadway stars need your help!

I teach First Grade at a Charter School in a low income district in New York.

My students are extremely bright and motivated, but come to school with very limited experiences. I took my class on a field trip to see a musical and the kids went wild! Back at school, they are now obsessed with performing - they just can't get enough reader's theater, reciting poetry, and singing for other students.

My Project

This program from TADA! Youth Theater Workshop is perfect for my students. Students will have the opportunity to work with two professional Teaching Artists - a Director/ Choreographer and a Music Director to learn musical theater skills. Students will have physical and vocal warm-ups, theater exercises and games, then rehearse choreographed musical numbers to perform! My students will be thrilled!

This workshop will be amazing for my class.

They really need these kinds of experiences to expose them to the arts. Most of my students just will not have access to anything close to this unless it comes to them at school. Help us make sure that these future Broadway stars don't miss out on this opportunity!
