My Students

How many of you remember your bearded piano teacher chanting loudly, "Practice! Practice!" just to hear that same phrase at home from your mother who just spent $100 a month for those lessons? Today piano lessons can be engaging, fun and effective through the use of technology.

I teach in a low income school.

Most of our students receive free/reduced cost lunch and are unable to afford even the most basic school supplies. We have a high population of English Language Learners, LD self-contained, and resource room students. I have students who have the desire to learn but do not have the materials. Many of them have very few life experiences outside of school to connect to their learning.

My Project

I teach VERY TALENTED children who have never been exposed to private music lessons, yet they have so much potential! My dream is to help make the next musical Mozarts! My students need beginner piano software to use in musical keyboarding lab. This software will enable my students who are music-smart to learn piano skills and techniques in a meaningful and effective way.

Your contribution will enable not one student but six hundred students who have little to no experience with piano.

Your assistance with this project could help discover the next Jim Brickman, Alicia Keys, or Ray Charles. Who knows? One of these kids that you invested in could be the next piano prodigy!
