My Project

Utah History, American History, World History: Authentic folk songs can typically be accompanied by a four-stringed instrument. Songs like Old Brass Wagon, Utah's Iron Horse, Home on the Range, She'll Be Coming' Round the Mountain, E Papa Waiari, and Sarasponda, have a simple, 3-chord chord progression...even most of songs by Taylor Swift!

By learning the ukulele, students can accompany themselves as a soloist or provide entertainment for the whole group in sing-alongs!

Imagine the self esteem that would come from being an independent accompanist who brings their own instrument! Fun for life!
