My Students

My students are inner-city​ students in grades sixth through eighth grade. We have a very diverse student population. Our school also has a wide range of academic levels. We strive to empower all our students to grow and be the best that they can be.

Our students are well behaved and strive for academic excellence.

All of my students are eligible to receive both the school breakfast and lunch for free. Most of our school population takes public transportation.

My Project

The addition of the speaker and wireless microphone will allow us to play music to motivate our students throughout Gym class. The Bluetooth​ feature will allow me to remotely start and stop the music which will help manage students as to when it is appropriate to be moving or stop moving.

We will be able to take students music requests and play their song choices during warm-up.

Requesting music could be used as an incentive for students that follow directions and have tried their best. Music can be a great motivator and help set the tone for each class period. We will also be able to play calming music when a class is practicing relaxation techniques or lining up at the end of a period and waiting for their teacher to arrive.
