My Students

My classroom has just become completely shattered from this pandemic. My students, who have been working on their guitars and band instruments, were suddenly left without music, guidance, and without a way to make music.

I would love to give my students a different way to make music since many of them cannot afford instruments of their own.

This summer I would like to revamp how and what I teach, so music can remain accessible to them whether we are online or not in the fall.

My Project

This summer, I plan to create a whole new curriculum for online/hybrid learning for music classes and the new music technology possibilities I proposed to the administration.

I will utilize some of the resources on Teachers Pay Teachers from those already running successful music technology classes to adapt for my students and their needs and abilities.

Besides finding material for music technology, I will see what else is on there that will work for music history, simple performance activities, songwriting, etc. Many of these topics are new to me as well so I feel the extra help is necessary, and I will be doing A LOT of research and curriculum writing in the next couple of months.
