This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

¡Bienvenidos! I am a music teacher who services a low-income community of really friendly and appreciative families and students in the southwest area of Chicago. Over 99% of the families in our community are low-income households.

Music is the favorite class for many of our students and as a music teacher, I strongly believe music is not only fun, engaging, and motivating but also helps encourage leadership, teamwork, self-confidence, and discipline which are all very important skills we all take on in life.

I want to give the students of our school the best musical experience they can receive under my time with them and I certainly appreciate your help for our students and families.

My Project

Now that we are back in school, we need music stands for each student, to help us maintain social distancing and spacing in our music classroom.

With each child having their own music stand, they can begin to learn at there own pace and be provided there own material for learning such as sheet music, exercises and other resources.

Each child must have his or her own equipment to maintain the safety of everyone, and also take full advantage of the time they get from music class.

Your help goes a long way to give the current and future students the musical opportunities that will forever impact their lives and transform the community.
