My Students

I teach an amazing group of 4th graders! Many of my students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Some are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. My students come to school eager to learn every day and I am in awe at what they accomplish in a school year!

I am working hard to create a welcoming, comfortable, and supportive atmosphere to help all students achieve their personal and academic goals and feel good about their accomplishments.

With the freedom to choose how and where to learn and work within the classroom, students will be better able to meet their goals and will have more opportunities to take ownership of​ their own learning.

My Project

Help me give my students a new and clean rug to learn on. This rug will create a colorful and comfortable environment in my classroom where students can play instruments, sing songs, and make music.

These rugs will contribute to a bright and calm, cozy atmosphere for music, learning, and gathering in the front of our classroom.

I can picture the students being all excited to get to sit on the rug and learn the music notes, practice singing, and making music together.

This project will truly enhance our classroom appearance. The new rugs will also give us extra room to spread out when we are working. We currently have no rugs in the room at all. I would like to create a homey, cozy learning environment for my class.
