Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at my school need a dedicated music classroom. At the moment there is not much to distinguish it from any other room in the building. This addition of instruments will be a wonderful way to reinforce musical concepts beyond our singing voices. We can use egg shakers, maracas, resonator bells, and rhythm sticks to learn the fundamentals of music.

The students' exposure to rhythm sticks, egg shakers, resonator bells and maracas will be a fun way for them to explore music, build fine motor skills, add texture to our music making, build confidence for those that are not comfortable singing, and serve as a foundation to further instrumental study in middle and high school.
