Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have not had music for the past few years and despite it being their first time learning music virtually, my students show a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. We are a Title I campus and we are striving to provide the materials needed for my students to receive the musical experience they deserve.

My Project

Having these instruments will allow my students to reinforce keeping the beat and emphasize playing different rhythms in a tactile and engaging way. These classroom instruments will also give all students the opportunity and life-changing experience to learn how to make music together and in group settings.

All students deserve access to high-quality education.

Students should be exposed to different ways that music can be created. Having musical instruments provides those different avenues of how music can be experienced. It is my hope that together we can promote equal education for all.
