Music for 3rd Graders

Help me give my students the gift of music and rhythm in our class. I want incorporate the use of a guitar for my classroom management and subject transitions and add rhythm lessons with the shakers.

My Project

This is my first year teaching third grade and my class has been amazing! They love music and really respond well to it. My wish is to use my skills of guitar playing to play music to help my class transition, refocus their attention, and help with putting songs to their learning. I also want to incorporate using shakers to help with rhythm and math skills. I can also use the shakers to help students that struggle with reading and their letter sounds, as well as breaking words into their syllables.
