This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Access to quality education is an ongoing issue in underserved communities, and often music is a hugely important outlet for students in these communities. With access to music technology, my students will be able to express themselves in safe, relevant, engaging, and fun ways in the music room, while allowing them to connect with their culture and interests.

With these Chromebooks, my students will have the opportunity to explore the world of music unlike they ever could without access to technology, and create art in ways that are timely and modern.

In the era of TikTok, X, and other social media websites, I want my students to have the opportunity to be creative and expressive through music in a controlled, guided, educational, and explorational way while making their learning fun and engaging.
