This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have tons of creative students in the band room, and my students want to be able to write their own pieces of music. We need to have a MacBook computer to be able to use a program for different kinds of composing activities called "Garage Band."

The students at our school live in some very difficult situations with many financial hardships.

They are very creative and talented students who love to participate in music in all kinds of ways. They are willing to work hard and love to be a part of the musical activities that we offer. They would love to have the opportunity to compose their own music.

My Project

We have a lot of creative juices around the band room, and the students would be so excited to have a MacBook computer that they could use to compose their own music. We could use the Garage Band program on the MacBook which is well suited for creating all kinds of music with different instruments and styles of music. In this technology driven world that we live in, it will keep us current. Then we could perform the music for a concert.

This MacBook computer will open the door for my students to be able to use the Garage Band program and compose their own music.

So much of learning is centered around technology and this really is a necessity in any music room.
