My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I know my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

This is the first year the students at my school have music class, so I am trying my best to make it a great experience for them.

I am fortunate enough to have many generous donors donate to my projects this year. I am looking ahead for next year, hoping to continue to grow our music program!

My Project

My school doesn't provide me with any supplies for my classroom. Everything in my classroom has either been donated, or purchased with my own money. I rely on the generosity of friends and strangers to supply the materials I need for my students to be successful and have fun while learning.

I need basic supplies for my classroom like tissues and colorox wipes; all things that I have had to purchase with my own money.

I also need laminating sheets so that I can preserve the activities that I make, binder clips, bins, and folders to keep those supplies organized, and a chalk marker to write on my outdated chalk board. My students really enjoy doing a variety of activities. These resources will help me keep my students healthy, clean, and happy!
