My Students

We service a majority population of underrepresented and poverty stricken youth, however, our school community creates an amazingly safe environment, where our students feel free to reach higher heights and deeper depths academically and socially.

My students are an enthusiastic bunch of urban youth who adore music!

They come to school each day and are eager to dive into new experiences and new adventures. I love that they never let anything hold them back! I am a very fortunate teacher!

My Project

In the time of Covid, music teachers have the challenge of making our classes safe and secure, while also continuing to make the experience fun and engaging. This project will help provide enough instruments for children to use independently in class. No sharing!

This provides a musical experience that is safe, all-inclusive, and guaranteed to be loads of fun!

Our class sizes will be 12-15 students. With your help, we plan to purchase 15 instruments for individual use during our music class. Orff instruments are a great way to introduce students to reading and playing music and I can't wait to get started!
