Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright, imaginative, and full of energy, and they thrive when given opportunities to explore, create, and express themselves. They come to school eager to learn, and I want to provide them with the tools to make each day exciting, engaging, and memorable. Music and art are powerful ways to inspire creativity, build confidence, and develop important skills. With the musical instruments I’m requesting tambourines, maracas, drums, and rainsticks. My students will have the chance to explore rhythm and movement while working together to create sounds and beats.

These activities will not only strengthen their coordination and listening skills but also promote teamwork, collaboration, and confidence as they perform in groups and celebrate their efforts.

In addition, the art supplies, including air-dry clay, watercolor paints, and paint markers, will allow my students to express their thoughts, emotions, and ideas through vibrant and hands-on projects. Art gives them the freedom to experiment and make mistakes, encouraging problem-solving and perseverance.

My goal for this project is to foster a classroom environment where students feel inspired to learn through play, music, and art while developing their social-emotional skills, fine motor abilities, and creativity. What makes my students special is their eagerness to learn and their ability to find joy in the process. They are curious, hardworking, and excited to explore the world around them, and these materials will help me give them meaningful opportunities to grow, connect, and shine. With these resources, I can create a space where every child feels encouraged to discover their talents and express themselves confidently.
