Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently teach at the same school where I was once a student. This community and this school hold a special place in my heart. My students come from low-income families, and all students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Regardless of their background, my students have so much potential and are just waiting for the opportunity to shine.

I would love to be able to be equipped with new and creative ways to motivate and encourage all of my students to reach for the stars.

I want to foster a love for learning, so my students become lifelong learners. By learning new strategies that authentically engage students in their everyday learning, my students will come to love school and learning about just anything. They are the future world changers!

My Project

We are about half-way through the school year, and there are still so many things I would like to share with my students.

Music and books can the set the stage for learning anything, and it truly helps to foster a love of learning.

I am looking forward to using some of these books for the national Read Across America event in March. They are books that help encourage diversity, perseverance, and a growth mindset.

I am looking forward to having Bluetooth speakers that can be used inside and outside to motivate students in their learning. I am also on a mission to gather a class set of merge cubes to use with future science and math lessons.
