Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I coach both boys and girls Cross County and Track at my school which is a tile one school in central Florida. My athletes are high schoolers and train hard 9 months out of the year. In order for my athletes to train at a high level and get the most out of training they must learn the importance of recovery.

Foam rolling is a self-myofascial release (SMR) technique.

It can help relieve muscle tightness, soreness, and inflammation, and increase your joint range of motion. Foam rolling can be an effective tool to add to our Track and Cross County teams.

What are the benefits of foam rolling? It can reduce injury and speeds up recovery. Improve flexibility without impairing strength and faster fitness results all which would be a huge benefit to our athletes.
