Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello from the Bronx! We're gearing up for a gentle year of building love, community collective decision-making, and embracing the beautiful struggle that is life in the 21st Century.

While our students engage in the processes of New York City Council public hearings, Supreme Court trials, and travel to Albany, we want to couch the learning experiences with joyful play, artful expression, and loving community building.

Last year, our four classes collectively created a 5x7 foot mural for our school hallway. This year, we plan to continue the tradition. We also build in games like bingo, jeopardy, and Kahoot to help retain key information and to have fun.

Please support our classroom to build joy and fun into the learning, and we'll be sure to capture the moments along the way!
