Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you to all the generous donor for your ongoing support of our school community. In the school where I currently teach, we provide students with the opportunity to attend office hours after school.

Many students show eagerness to participate, but I've noticed that distractions from hunger often affect their energy levels.Office hours have proven to be beneficial in offering students individual targeted learning and one-on-one services.

Since the beginning of the school year, my colleagues and I have been purchasing and providing snacks to help mitigate hunger and encourage students to attend office hours. This initiative has successfully motivated students to stay after school and seek assistance with their schoolwork. I truly believe in the potential of my students and want to continue fostering their commitment to these valuable sessions.

The last donation of snacks have help to increase participation in office hours and advocating for help. I would love for student to continue joining us to receive academic help or even allowing students to know that there is a safe available for them to grab a quick bite.

This year students are also attending there first over night trip. Many of these students come from low income family household. I would love to give the students an opportunity to attend and have a joyous time. I would love to provide them snacks during this trip.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to create a positive learning environment for our students with snacks.
