My Project

First grade is such a magical time. Students learn so much during the school year. Academically, students go from counting to adding double-digit numbers, recalling letter sounds to reading, and writing their names to writing books! However, this can be challenging, especially for students who are English language learners.

Your donations will help provide different themed sensory bins for a first-grade ENL class in a growing public school in Queens.

The best way to learn is through a multisensory approach, and these sensory bins and alphabet tubs will provide my entering ENL students a fun way to learn English and phonics.

My students speak so many different languages at home--Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, just to name a few. We greatly appreciate the support. I know these items will go to great use for many years to come.
