My Project

Learning to read is so important for all my students! In order to reach all learners and help the practice stick, I want to create multisensory lessons. Students will see the words, hear the words, and feel the words. Students will break larger, multi-syllabic words into smaller parts to learn their meanings. I am excited to use my training from the Institute for Multisensory Education (IMSE) to help my students.

The materials in this project will help all students learn to read in an engaging way!

I will be able to teach the phonics skills each student needs using materials from Teachers Pay Teachers and the segmenting trays. Students will then be able to play phonics games to practice the skill they’ve just learned. I am requesting sand, crayons, highlighters, and Velcro dots. These items will help make the learning experience visual, kinesthetic, and auditory to reach all learners. The cardstock and laminating sheets will create more durability for the items we use during our lessons.
