Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have three wonderful classes of enthusiastic 4th graders! My mathematicians work hard each day to learn rounding, place value, multiplication, division, and so much more.

I am always trying to make math exciting for my students.

We often use mini-whiteboards to practice our math throughout a lesson; this keeps the students engaged more than you could imagine! The dry-erase markers and erasers are a must for students to be able to work to their full potential. We also often find ourselves doing color-by-number math activities, which the students love to start their mornings. I also try to plan fun and crafty math projects that students can get creative with. The pencil boxes help us stay organized and allow for easy access so each group of students has tools to color with! The sharpener is always in high demand as we work through our coloring, so this sharpener would be exclusively for student use with colored pencils.

These materials, though they may seem basic, will truly be SO appreciated and used often by our kids!
