Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher working in a Title I and Title 3 school (low-income/high poverty) in Corona, I know that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite their challenges, I am trying to keep my students engaged and trying to instill a love of learning, within them, and give them access to individualized resources.

I work in an Integrated Co-Teaching setting, which consists of 40% Special Education students and 60% General Education students (including Multilingual Learners), that truly benefit from all that is offered to them.

Despite all of the challenges my students face, they continue to strive for the best, with the tools that they are provided with.

My Project

These resources will allow me to create a welcoming and vibrant classroom for my incredible students. The picture cards will help my Special Education and Multilingual Learners have a visual representation for each new word they learn. This will help students gain a better understanding and confidently engage in classroom tasks. In addition, the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase digital resources to further support my students' educational needs. These digital resources can be used in the classroom or at home. The resources have a lot of Visual Support, Social Emotional Learning, and Behavior Support, which is much needed with transitioning back to full-time in-person learning.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
