My Project

My Prek students come from many different backgrounds and countries. Many families speak different languages at home, eat different foods and celebrate different holidays and traditions.

I wish to acknowledge and honor the cultural heritage and uniqueness of all of my students by introducing them to more books that focus on Multicultural aspects and equity.

Even as young as Prek age, I believe students can learn how to respect one another and show appreciation for each other’s ethnicities and specialness. It is up to us, as teachers, to guide them and a library filled with wonderful books can assist me in fulfilling this goal.
