My Project

This year our 3K classroom is full students who come from all different places and speak many different languages! Having literature in the classroom that is representative of the cultures of the students is so important.

This year in my classroom we have students who speak English, Spanish, Creole, and Japanese.

Some of the books listed are bilingual, which will be helpful for the students who are learning English. The rest of the books are about different cultures and countries. When a child is able to see books with a character who looks like them, speaks the same language, or even eats the same foods, they might feel more comfortable and safe in our classroom!
