This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic learners who want to become readers and writers. Learning to read and write has been challenging for all of my students for reasons that they can't control. I want to provide them with small group phonics instruction that is explicit, systematic, and sequential. I need hands-on tools that will help them learn letter names and letters sounds so that they can read independently. My students need tools that will tap into their visual and kinesthetic modes of learning. The multi-sensory materials requested will give them the hands-on that they need to stay focused while learning.
