My Project

I teach at an urban, public school in Saint Paul, MN. I teach small literacy groups to 50 students in grades kindergarten, first and second grade. I have been a teacher at this school for the past 20 years. But, for the past two years, I have been a reading teacher. My position is called What I Need Now! I observe and assess students to know what they need to be successful scholars.

Some students need tactile objects to manipulate, tools to provide occupational support, motivational tools, and learning activities that are hands-on learning.

My goal for this project is to provide all of those things and more to the 50+ students I work with in my school every day!
